Creative Consulting is more than just drawing pictures and playing around on computers. A Creative Consultant provides ideas and support to projects and campaigns in many different industries. I've worked for fashion designers, boutique hotel chains, beer manufacturers, high end retail chains. . . I've even designed crazy mix-and-match socks for little girls and Little Mermaid flip-flops. All this requires more than just knowledge of Adobe programs (which I have). It takes articulate communication, knowledge of industry and self, being well versed in technology and trends, and knowing when to call in some creative cohorts to help manage a project to its fruition. So no, I'm not just a graphic designer. I'm also a web developer, a fashion stylist, a licensee, an interior decorator, an art director, a screen printer, an illustrator, a chef, and self-proclaimed prince of the universe. I wear many hats, the most important of which is my thinking cap.
When not consulting on things that need creativity creatively, I need to stay occupied otherwise my head will explode Scanners-style. I have my own line of T-shirts on Skreened. I also sell my artwork as prints and accessories on Society6. Need a little tech in your life? Try my silly little tech blog called Benny Needs This. Finally, I wasn't kidding when I said I was a chef. I'm a member and home-cook of Meal-ku, a home-cooked meal-share community.
The mark of a good designer is that they give you exactly what you want, without you knowing what you wanted in the first place. From over 5,000 miles away, we told The Real Mckoy that we wanted "simple, teal, and fun." We got just that, but also a whole lot more! As a couple who rebukes everything "bridal," we're ashamed to admit in public how excited we were with everything (don't tell!). Miraculously, the goods managed to please not only us but our more traditional (and opinionated) families, and all our guests kept asking us who made everything. What started as "just an invite" turned into thank you notes, napkins, stickers and party favors, all stamped with our own personalized logo, which is pretty badass BTW. The best part is that we didn't have to do anything except approve the design, and the rest was all taken care of for us. What more could you ask for?! (like 5000 more of those stickers...)
Jason has helped me create and maintain the look of my brand in print and digitally and has proven to be a valuable asset in my creative arsenal. I can honestly say that I am overly happy to be one of his clients.
I have worked with Jason in the past with his own company. He is very organized and efficient when running his business. I was very happy to have had the opportunity to create with him.
As such, I am always looking for new and exciting creative adventures to partake in. If you think your project needs a little McKoy sprinkled on it (it's magical) then feel free to give us a shout. Try to be as detailed as you can and please: serious inqueries only.
If you are interested, I also make dope art prints, and fresh t-shirts. And for the peanut butter enthusiasts, yes, I make that too. You should definitely check them out and buy stuff because you should and it's the right thing to do.
